I was talking to someone, today, and I was asked about mythology. His interest was peaked by my re-reading Joseph Campbell's The Hero with a Thousand Faces. His question was, what is mythology? I tried to explain that it was nothing more than theology and philosophy. The asking and answering of questions pertaining to the study of one's spiritual life. He looked at me as if I was speaking Spanish. So, I told him that it was Fairy Tales for adults. This resonated with him, but he then asked me, if I thought that the people were confused enough without mythology. I told him it quite the opposite mythology gives stability as fairy tales gave to us when we were children. We, mythologists, help with everything from rites of passages to journeys of a thousand steps within.
His question did get me to thinking. Story or reality, what comes first? In my humble opinion, story must come first. Look at the society of the world and one can see the absence of story, of a focal point, a goal. But then I think, where does story come from? Again, in my humble opinion, we get our stories from the collective energetic thought pool. That big jar with characters, plots, stories, and dramatic questions in it. For is it not the artist who pulls from the Creator who become a creator. Meaning, I'm back at square one with the question. The truth of the matter is the process of storytelling rises from within. Theme, when written correctly, will always present a valid point regarding life. I mean there are only four themes anyway. My favorite and probably the favorite of most mythologists is man v god. There can be no man v man without surrendering to the fact that, if science or Jehovah, you have a god; then and only then are you able to wrestle with this being. Otherwise, we have straw men arguments that no one wants to read. Then there is the message, that must be premeditated in delivery better than foreshadowing. Truth of the matter is there is a reality that lies dormant in the story until the writer chisels it out. Constantly homing in on what is it that is trying to be told. Because the true mythologist has an ear for story on top of her hours learning the craft and its theories. With that said, no, there is no way we can confuse the public by telling well-constructed myths. But the shit ain't easy! There is the bottom-line of how well of an experience the writer has provided. Has she entertained, explained, and expanded the mind of the listener? Is experience according to the standards and intentions of mythology? No mythologist worth their weight in gold or salt would forget that the final product needs to answer these two questions: is it a story and is it reality. It's the chicken and the egg question. What comes first the story or the religious reality? There will be no answer. There should be no question; because it's only those looking outside who dare to ask so. With that said, we've wasted valuable time on this issue. Time to return back to work and to design my current story that will be constructed to look like reality. Thanks for Listening! In this day and age, when there are so many connecting wires of communication, convincing someone to slow down and join us in an experience which will transform and inform is a little difficult. There are few who are willing to engage in healing energies in the scheme of things. Many will talk the Spiritual talk but run from the Spiritual walk. Mythology is, more often than not, the Spiritual walk. We are supposed to guide people through an initiation which we ourselves have taken. And we can do it, we just have to put our backs into it.
I desire nothing more than serving pieces of art through communication with the abstract symbols which are our assigned medium. The theory of the craft of writing is so intense that many people can't integrate and display a mastery of said theory in order to really get the blissful experience of writing. Then when you add on the piece which is mythology, those who enrapture with words, sentences, and paragraphs normally walk away mumbling something under their breath about storytelling being hard enough as it is. Mythologists who stick it out are not only rewarded with a bounty that can only be kept in the banks of the higher heavens, but we share this bounty enabling others to open accounts alongside us- we are never alone. Thinking about the fact that we have been selected to this honorable position with its hindering tasks, can stop us from reaping what has been sowed while we were just using writing for escapism. Fore the process of becoming initially accepted and acknowledged is one, in which identicality to every other position on this Spa Planet: Earth, sends us on our fool's journey. Just like others it isn't the following of bliss which we start out with, but the warmth from escaping the environment of our holding cell. We write, not even closely aware of the fact that we, like doctors and nurses, will one day enliven and resuscitate the immortals, motivate and inspire the mortals, and give hope to the ghouls. If lucky, we move beyond that feeling we had when we first started and begin the journey of becoming a Mythologist. Schooling and theory on writing comes after escapism, and we die to who we were. There will be so much to learn about character arc and plot. Setting normally takes care of itself, unless we are going beyond the bounds of our atmosphere. But those darn married aspects of creative writing; those are the things that will make or break a writer. Like I said, liken to a doctor or nurse. Theory is just one aspect. It is an important aspect but only the pronouncement and exhibition to the world that being broken is not an option. After showing that there can be trust since now you are an initiative authoritative guide. Structure and Voice are licenses displaying name and ability. Upon becoming working apprentices of the art, the beauty which is storytelling, the mountain of comparative mythology must be climbed. There is a reason why we still need to read Homer or the Sumerians' Epic of Gilgamesh. We need Japanese and Chinese myths in our toolbox and how to use them. There is the greatest historical mythological story, according to some, the Good Book(s) of the Jews and the Christians which weaves history, philosophy, worship, ritual, and fantasy together so well that people are still dying over it. The list carries on with Egypt's Atum and Amun, both gods in their own right, good according to their own disciple sight; Norse; Celtic; African. Exhaustive one must be. This is why many don't Fuck with Myth. Mythology in one area of discipline is hard enough, but when you add the required information gained only be being a comparative mythologist, things get downright outrageous. Yet, going in the belly of the beast will bring about your own hero's journey; one which Joseph Campbell would be proud of. That is when you pass the bar exam, and gain your license, having everything you need in order to lead others through the beast of relevance. There's a lot on your shoulders Mythologists, I know; don't give up. There is no more rewarding way to serve than leading boys into being men and girls into being women. We need you; I desire your company. Just thin about this during those long nights and early days. School of theory, like Med School, only last so long. Apprenticeship, like internship, only last so long. Mastery schooling, like dissertation writing, only last so long. Do the time and graduate each level- slowly. The world will wait. For you are one of the keepers of the gate. Thanks for Listening! Sabrina Louise Andielle Crow Crew Now what I am about to say will definitely not sit right with some mythologist. We each have our own way about making the invisible visible. But I've been studying and practicing storytelling since I was in my early twenties and I'm now in my late forties; over twenty years. As I've said before, we are the harbingers of this renaissance of pure symbolic storytelling. This means a path must be broken in this publication wilderness. Although I can't walk your path, I can offer three suggestions as to working smarter and not harder.
First, until you have channeled the entire story (which will take about 3 drafts) receive the thing in waves. A couple of hours a day should be enough. Remember your system is receiving downloaded information from the collective thought. Now what do I mean by receiving in waves? This means sitting at the computer and doing like a non-fiction writer would do and that is to show up. Just sit there everyday until you are able to capture scenes of your story. Don't worry about trying to make sense of it now, you'll be given your chance in the early editing stages. In the meantime, just get to know the world and the people in it, then take the time to get to know the problems they face. This is a slow process, but one well worth engaging in as it streamlines the information that is received. Second, once the story has been told, work the story in sections. To begin work the first five pages. Knowing that these pages are your hook, put in there the who, the what, the when, and the why. This may seem over whelming but if you look at it from a journalistic point of view then it will be more than enough space to stretch out those key factors. Then hit the first 50 pages. This should set the stage for the next section. Know that in the final stage of editing what is in those first 50 is a must in the last 100 (ok, maybe the last 50) this expands the first five and slows the pace down. But don't open with a car crash and not tie the tie the thing into the remainder of the story; nor go below this speed or intensity of this type of opening during the rest of the story. It doesn't matter if you're going to just be showing the personality, or the character of the antagonist, it must tie into the entire story somehow. Then there is the middle 200 pages, which shows all the action- what happens. Then the last 100 pages which will wrap everything up. Don't worry about how all the introductory details, foreshadowing, and background information is going to play in this entire story because if you are receiving correctly then all the pieces will fit, and it will be the mythologist job to chisel the raw material. Just maintain faith in the process. Third, don't try to complete your proposal for sale until you've completed the masterpiece. This way you can answer those deep questions about the characters, setting, and symbolism. Remember there are core qualities that a myth has as well as the journey which the heroine goes on. These will be expected to be shown and it you don't wait until the story is being told to you then you'll be lost and will in turn lose the reader. These are the three basic keys to presenting the masterpiece, which is buzzing in your ears, to the world. I hope they help. Thanks for Listening! Sabrina Louise Andielle Crow Crew With all my talk about the upcoming rebirth of mythology; I haven't dug deep into what I see when designing characters, and the journeys they must go on in order to add a new vibrational energy to the collective thoughts of the reader. So, let me start by saying, I believe that this world we live in is nothing but a simulation of information that was imprinted on each and every thought being in existence. We are not as individuals, or as a collective, the Source of our experience though we do get to decide when and how to experience our experiences. This fact is the core of my characters.
For too long, it has been said that we authors have little say in what goes on in our novel. That we as gods or creators of an imaginary, far reaching, world which we share with our reality, have no sway over what is going to happen in them. That we are writing with one headlight in the fog, even after we've completed the first draft. Bullshit! Is there any wonder why novels are recycling stories, with that mentality? We as reflective creator gods, have to put our foot down like all powerful people do. We have to tell our characters that the buck stops with us. Once we gain that type confidence then we can do anything. And by anything I'm suggesting we fulfill the need for a new style . . . I mean hero. That is going to take some getting used to but let's look at what the Unnamed and Unseen Creator God is sending through the gridlines. We can do this not by what anyone says but what everyone say. First, we say we are spirits having a material experience. Yet, we have forgotten that to be spirits we must become Spirits. That ain't easy. Which means, mythologist, that we have something to write about right there. Second, we say we are gods, not God but in God which makes us gods. No one has really defined how to learn how to be gods because it takes a god to raise a god. What are we? Mythologist, we are gods . . . creator gods; especially when we are on our own spiritual adventure. Hence another thing to write about. Third, we say we are immortal. No one speaks in common language of immortality as if we were immortals. Sounds like a job for a few mythologists. Lastly, for the sake of space, we say we are lightworkers from the stars. How many stories can you think of, mythologist, which touch on this subject. Remember I have stated that if we do our job correctly, the publishing houses will be knocking down our doors. Because no matter what, we must still tell a good story. Just like life within this thought simulator, the rules and understanding of the basic principles have been laid out for us. We know there is a beginning, a middle, and an end. Hopefully we also know what goes in each section and not just a beginning, middle, and end. We know that there is a greed, a hunger, for stories which takes readers to superhero status in places far, far away or in the next big city. Upon accompanying the author on an adventure of a divine character created just for them- or at least feels that way, they will be craving for more. We are guides, way-showers, and until we embrace this fact, we will never be trusted with the raw material of stories covering subjects such as those four mentioned above. It's hard but it isn't difficult. As Denzel Washington said, "If it was easy," there would be no masters of the craft. As we are all at the bottom awaiting to rise, like yeast, know that embracing the craft and owning our mastery is what will convince the Universe to "give" us the chances we need. Because, we will have risen in vibration and the thinker behind the thought beings will rise to meet us. Always! Thanks for Listening! Sabrina Louise Andielle Crow Crew According to the sixth step of the twelve steps of the Hero's Journey, this is when the hero gain allies and learn enemies. But what makes a "good" enemy? We all know you can only develop as far as your resistance can push you. With that said, you're only as good as you can push. This is truer in the world of mythology. The villain is the hero, and the hero is the villain; because it is all perspective and we as mythologist need to hold both as well as we hold one.
Today's villain is not evil for the sake of being. Let's say that we define evil as following. Something that is highly cultured and refined to the highest degree, which has the intent to constructively destroy belief systems and cultures; most times for the better but stereotypically presented as for the bad. Jesus was considered evil during his time. Taking this definition, we have to go beyond that funny drawing of a villain wanting to take over the world just because he wants to. The reason why a villain as one who wants to be sustained and nurtured by the entire ecosystem was accepted during earlier myths is because the guardian gods wanted such things and their co-creation, being stronger than creation, wanted the same things and hence a villain who wants the world in the palm of his hands. But the co-creation and the creation now sits at the same table when processing information during this emerging Age of Information. This leveled playing field means that we as mythologist must sculpt a new villain since we as an ecosystem face a new resistance and have new desires for change. Today's villain, however, cannot be evil for evil sake and, as we now know, cannot be driven by nothing. There must be a goal in the mind of the villain which someone, somewhere, can understand and agree with. Today's villains are just as desirable as the heroes if not more so. They tend to be wiser, stronger, and more in charge of themselves than the younger force that oppose them. The villain knows the world and is very good at manipulating it. As a matter of fact the villain has been doing so up until the hero and her team shows up. Being both outspoken and daring, the villain has learned to keep her temper in check. Often the villain's neighbors and coworkers will say that she was a nice person and that the behavior she just performed is out of character. When all along the villain's life is one of character. Just when we, as mythologist, got the process of the first five and fifty pages being the telling of what is about to unfold, we have to rethink our villains and know that they cannot, again, be evil for evil sake. Nor can they just want to be loved, because even the hero wants that and has wanted that since the days of the Mesopotamian stories. We'll figure this villain thing out because story can no longer replicate life; but life must replicate story- if our ecosystem is to survive this upcoming Age of Enlightenment. We are the harbinger of change because we understand that if we always write what we've always written, then society will always desire what it has always desired. Our villains must change . . . bottom line. Thanks for Listening! Sabrina Louise Andielle Recently, I've been advocating for a new spin on the Hero's Journey. I, like many others, once saw it as one individual going out into the cruel, cold world. Battling demons and killing monsters. Then coming home to be celebrated and rightfully embraced. Joseph Campbell pointed out that sometimes the hero even brought medicine for the village. I now see that with our coming to an understanding about the outer world, the real focus needs to be on the inner world so we can eventually be sane enough to travel the outer limits and/or have residents of the outer limits announce their visits to the planet.
We are supporting the idea and practice of mental health, more recently. We are bucking systems that don't work and building a platform for future ones that will. Healing is being taken on, deep emotional healing which is altering family DNA, and the realization has become that no one can do your healing for you; and claiming affiliation with a deity does not grant you sanity. These such statements mean . . . I better have a solution to toss in the ring. I do. I believe that the showing of how to stay in one's lane and be a hero falls on the shoulders of mythologist. Not the comparative mythologist. Not the armchair evaluator mythologist. Not even someone who is still putting the new style mythology creator's pedal to the metal while learning the road, like me, mythologist. I am talking about some of today's embraced writers of fine storytelling which could one day be considered true mythology. Ursula Le Guinn was a mythologist. But even she went to school under the old methodology. She was a practitioner of Joseph Campbell's external mastery hero's journey- not always but a lot of the time. The new stories need not be brooding. The collective needs new light, engaging, and encouraging stories so we can move forward. Meaning if we writers just get out the way during the first, second, even third draft, then the final product will be new and innovated. Yes, that means we won't be able to pop out books like we're machines, but we aren't. I've always believed that storytellers and myth makers have a special role in any civilization's societies. Maybe others don't, but I feel it's an honor to even been given the chance to attempt to write stories and mythologies. I'm certain with a new style we'll get new smiles. Healthy ones which change the reader/listener to their core. All the while, everyone is in their lane. That's the future I see for novelist and the one I personally strive for. Hell, I've been working on Hour of Change for 2 years now and by today's prolific standards and my previous habits that's a long time. But I keep increasing my personal standards and with that comes changes in ideas and dialogue for my manuscript. I do know that the only perfection is imperfection so 2020 will be the birthing of The Chronicles of Mow Yen: Hour of Change. We can only change the social momentum one idea, one story, one myth at a time and that means being social, engaging, with our products; and we got to start somewhere. Because, the medicine comes not from the outside but from within and novelist, again, have to help the communities which are directing people in that internal direction. Thanks for Listening! Sabrina Louise Andielle Crow Crew The idea that writing a story is simple and the author only need to take pauses here and there for fresh eyes is a fictitious telling in and of itself. The entire process is an emotional development of the author. Especially if one wish to develop the emotions of the readers. Unlike other writings which, for the most part, requires light effort for writers born with the gift of storytelling, mythological creations demand heavy bench pressing.
First, you have to decide on writing about something you know. Then have at it; which means opening up your soul and receiving a story about the topic which you've selected. As much as you may know about this topic, your first draft will be primeval soup. Some of it will have mass (meat to keep) and the rest will be liquid (soup to toss) but know that without the first draft there is nothing to eat; so, get your ears tune to the pitch of the Universe. Second, you have to see how your first draft can fit into the formula that has been agreed upon by the collective 'we' of readers. It doesn't matter that your delivered idea is original and has the philosophy to support it; what is key is that bread looks like bread that can be served on a plate and water looks like water that can be served in a cup. Third, you have to recompose your first draft into a final product. This part takes many tries and will change the texture and taste of your offering to the reading gods. But keep the first two steps close, constantly read and re-read your mythology until you know the story; now start rethinking what mythology means to you. Fourth, you have a final product which adhere to industry requirements at this point, so let's add in two things, the requirements of mythology and the requirements of compassion. Your writing is the food and/or the elixir for the community. Considering that you've experienced this journey that you're sharing, the sharing should come easy. It is your communal passion after all. Just as it feeds your soul, it should feed the collective soul. Your mythology should motivate or prompt others to get out and obtain what you gained. Finally, have faith that this new mythology will answer the pleas of the community. Then, be prepared to take that first step over and continue the process until you feel you can no longer stand and be a channel for the voice of Spirit, the voice of the Universe. Remember, mythologist spider, your job is to spin webs and change the flies caught on your web into independent spiders out there spinning webs with you. We are all one and that means that we are all spider-storytellers; capable of overcoming the largest of obstacles and calming the wildest of beasts. Thanks for Listening! Sabrina Louise Andielle Crow Crew I have undergone a transformation which affect my writing in oh so many ways; therefore, I will not even begin to explain where I've been or what I've been doing. Just know that Hour of Change is still on the burner and this 94,000 word story is being honored as only someone who has walked in Mow Yen's shoes can.
It is said that a writer is constantly mining the soul, their soul, for what is unknown, for what hasn't been felt, and for understanding their core beliefs. This is something that I now embrace and share. Not the mining for feelings or capturing the unknown but for understanding of core beliefs. I have never thought to myself how I was mining for my core beliefs through my writing. Even with Hour of Change, where I'm pouring my heartbreak onto the world, I never thought I was sharing CORE BELIEFS. I never knew I had it in me to leave a relationship which has spread across my many incarnations. I never thought that I would feel the confusion, fear, and anticipation of starting new with a different god or gods; or the deep need to grieve the illusion of perfection which I held for Yahweh. Thereby, letting another god or gods in the private quarters of my heart. I never would have guess that my core beliefs would be changing this incarnation. But all that is going on and more. All because, as the bible says, your mouth provides for your belly. I have decided to quit Yahweh. Now, I don't know what that means for my religious life (which wasn't there to begin with) but for my spirit it means freedom. At least that is my core belief. Yahweh is for the youngsters who need hands on guidance. I am no youngster. Being that I'm sober, I am not about to sit up here and bash and spit upon the people who still give their ultimate devotion and obedience to Yahweh. Again, I just left the fold; keeping the love I was taught and disposing of the rest. I will not go into lack, because I feel they lack nothing, and all of their needs are met. I will say that as much as they claim to be the more powerful religious organization of followers on the Earth currently, they walk in fear. Now if you ask or point this truth out, you'll receive opposition. But these are the people who claim to forgive but not forget. How? These are the people who claim they need no "outside" books to support theirs. They can't deal with the questioning of their beliefs and often threaten with the promise of Hell. As the saying goes, one needs originality, but it must be backed, if not matched, by philosophy and comparison critical thinking. I could go on, but I will give one last point to ponder. There is a mistrusting of anyone who is outside their community. There is a hole where diversity belong within their organization whose collective has splintered into more denominations than any other main group of religious devotees. They are sheep and the shepherds have place the fear of Yahweh in them. I wasn't a follower of Yahweh by any means of actions other than proclamation and explanation of my behaviors and Biblical understandings. Nor was I a follower of Yahweh's actions and treatment of people. He, Yahweh, is a hard god for a hardheaded people and I'm not hardheaded. I was already torn by my inner drive for wisdom beyond my soul. The closer I got to my truest desire the further I got from Yahweh. I was questioning Yahweh, daring him and no commander likes that- least of all Yahweh. Therefore, I am going to let Yahweh go. I now allow Yahweh to go his way and I go mine. No hidden agenda. I honor Yahweh's power, strength, and even the devotion shown toward his people. There is nothing but love and relief in my heart. Part of me, deep down, wishes that there was something that Yahweh could still teach me; but the Greatest God got this, and my next teacher will appear. I had so much fear, so much anger, and so many restrictions to overcome. I can't speak for other followers, but Yahweh seems to be the type of relay runner who has come to the end of their stretch and refuse to pass the baton. I think that the inspired threats of men, has nothing to do with saving souls and more with binding people's mind and soul to Yahweh. Maybe Jesus wasn't celebrating Yahweh? I've still to conclude on that thesis. During the process of writing Hour of Change, I saw the characterize image, the one I made of him. I realized that I had not been given the chance to become who I was born to be, because of some inspired teachings of desert men and women which said that Yahweh way was the only way. I realized that if I was at war, fighting for my spiritual survival, then yes, Yahweh's way is the only way. Listen to me, I was that individual fighting my own guilt and consequences; Yahweh's was my savior as I ran from the truth of who and what I am. Yahweh is the one who will direct without considering the inner development of the one he's directing. Once I become still, I was able to see that it was Yahweh who had kept me running because all gods need someone to share their understanding with. I'm not trying to take that from Yahweh, what I am doing is stepping deeper into the light of the Greatest God. Once I am placed under another god, I will serve that god the way I served the god of war. I am no warrior-soldier anymore. I am a full blood soldier for peace fore I have been honorably discharged. Best of luck to Yahweh and the shepherds under him. Fore, your sheep are frighten and running off cliffs; mindless and lacking free will. And, best of luck to me. Core beliefs are a motherfucker! I'm so excited. Know why? I'll tell you, it's because I know what I am. I wish I could tell everyone everything but I haven't reached everyplace yet. So, I will sit silently and knit my blanket just a little while longer. The rhythm is getting smoother, faster. I'm able to do more in less time. Okay, but what does knitting have to do with the Pointer Sisters?
The song about being so excited speaks of a burning love that they're . . . so excited about. They just wanted to squeeze and wrap their arms around their beloved. I now understand. I know that I mentioned in my last post the amount of work that I was putting into Hour of Change and how the thing was shaping up; but now I want to share with all the other writers striving for publication with a traditional publisher why to hang in there and really put in the time. As we carry on, things do get easier. Now of course I'm talking about writing novels. The more drafts you tell the more you know the story, the more you know the story the better you can tell the story; and a well told story sells. Boy, does it sell. Still, I'm not speaking of the manuscript part of this business. I'm speaking on the "paperwork" the Cover Letter, Synopsis, Bio, and Similar Books (name dropping.) Little history, like many, I was rushing to get my stuff out there, you know hang up my open for business sign; but I got nowhere, fast. That is until I was told that under ripe fruit is no good just like over ripe fruit. I had to sit and think about that. After a lot of soul searching and much rap music (love me some rap and RnB,) I decided to take down my sign and get back to the drawing board. No, things weren't as easy as self-publishing and I'm not knocking it because I was it. No things weren't as glamorous as when I first started working on this now 94,000-word monster which is going on five drafts, two revisions, and countless editing. But all that, the words repeated for the umpteenth time, isn't for the "work" of writing a novel. That was to learn how much I love telling stories and how much I was willing to learn how to write them. That, too, is what I'm so excited about. That is what make me about to loose control. Getting to know this story so well that I can answer questions about the story that I have, like why must I replace Satan with Amidas? What is the difference between a Earth Mow and a Saturn Mow? Why make Young Mow Yen's death so graphic? Things like that. I learned that if I ask myself these type questions, instead of what color hair does Mow have or where is Amidas most likely to eat, I will be able to deliver deeper story without losing my swimming noddle. Not to mention the reader's. I don't think that we as writers give enough credit to editing process. We just want that high of channeling a new tale. But if you want to be a powerful writer you better get the high of playing god down also. That's also why I'm excited. Playing gods enable us to write the 2 page synopsis, the cover letter, and know that if they are rejected then the fruits are not ready. I tell you the first night I was able to condense 160 pages of the story (roughly half) on one page, I understood why I had to learn to write summaries, which I thought were book reviews. If I can't write summaries then either I don't know or the story is not complete. That's all a synopsis is. . . a summary- professional but a summary. The Cover Letter is even easier to communicate. This is what I got, this is why I selected you, and here is my pitch. Thank you very much. Close that puppy. Slap an electronic stamp on it and send it on its way. Bio, just ask, why did I write this story? And the comparison should be easy because there shouldn't be any roommates just neighbors. Like eyebrows your book and others are sisters not twins. There is only one J.K. Rowling but my one line pitch is its Rowling meeting another author (see my previous post for who.) Yeah, I could have selected someone else but when you hear her name you think magic and I got magic. So I use her as a similar book. Tough for me, most of my books are non-fiction so I can't really say I'm sisters with anyone; but I know I'm not twin. Anyway, I digress. I just wanted to say that I'm excited about the fact I know this story, Hour of Change and I'm looking forward to discussing it more than selling it and that is a change in direction, that is a change in the heart. That is the foundation of my excitement and the start of a new joy in my heart. I'm so excited! Thanks for Listening! Sabrina Louise Andielle. July 2019 was the beginning of the third year of my journey to becoming a publish author with a traditional publisher. I tell you this has been a journey of twist and turns to the point that I now understand why the underground roots of a forest looks like a map of success. This becoming a traditional publisher's client is not like self-publishing or publishing with a mom and pop racket. There is a level of mastery which requires focus that just isn't requested otherwise. Writing, rewriting, editing, revision; and much, much more. You can become lost in the drafts alone. I'm on my second revision of what ended up being five drafts and yes, things are tighter than they were months earlier; but, I would not have brought this level of intensity to the game if it wasn't for the fact that I want to be of the roster of a traditional publisher.
In my adventure to being who I am professionally, I'm learning patience and skills which never crossed my mind before. Storytelling and writing stories are two different things; a true master combine and perform both until flawlessness is the appearance. As I continue, now with glee, I find that it really is the journey. I do what I do, read what I read, all to be close with the Universe. My goal has expanded and I'm not getting into what that means at the moment. Being so close, only to have the carrot moved to a different location, because there are lessons and energy to be gained at this new settlement. Yet, I love my guides and I wouldn't take nothing in the world for them. Plus the second installment of The Chronicles of Mow Yen is coming along faster, with less waste. The name: Zep Tepi. It means new dawn. It has been said: If it is fast then it won't last. I used to question that because I was fast and I was producing work. But, being honest with myself, I realized that my work lacked a certain degree of professionalism which I love. I discovered and surrendered to the fact that, that which I sought would only be achieved if I listened to God and slowed down. That meant, enjoying myself on a sunny day, a cloudy day, a rainy day, even a snowy day. Plus I needed time to be still; not just because God said so, but because nothing grow up fast or overnight except when you add man's contribution. Real stuff of God takes time and I am a Metaphysical Fantasy writer. It's a forest I tell you. Hour of Change began in 2018. I will continue to work on this story, only presenting it when needed; but know this: just as the mulberry leaf turns to silk with time, Hour of Change is becoming solid and without fancy. I now pitch it as James Redfield meets J.K. Rowling. And although the level of mastery that those two shared with the world could have been tighter, I stand by them for their vision and determination. They both opened the minds of the public to a new thing. Which is what exploring and pioneering is about; and I am both. Just wanted to let you know that your girl hasn't given up on Hour of Change. That I'm near ... who am I fooling I still have two more run through before tackling the huddles of getting an agent again. A lot has changed. No more Satan. Mow is now a she-demon from the third ring of Saturn. Hina has more screen time and she brings her daughter with her. There are Seven Spirits that must be located. Not to mention that Mow still needs to located her three teams of five Elohim before the December 2030 date. Zeus is still Zeus but he has a newly invented master, Amidas- Mow Yen blood relative which she's never met. Mow's back story has changed and it's an all around tighter story which set up the adventurous journey of The Chronicles of Mow Yen. Plus I know how the damn series ends. For all who are praying for me and Mow, thank you! We aren't going to stop until we see publication and distribution in bookstores throughout the world. Yes, the vision has grown and the ask is bigger but when you're looking to become part of the underground root system of a forest, you better come hard or not at all. Thanks for Listening!
