I got to thinking about how these ideas, beliefs, truths, of mythology have spread wide and far. Wider and farther than the pollen carried on the lips of bees. I mean we can say it started with the Sumerians, but truth be told, it was pretty much everywhere. With that, let's say for those who feel mythology is nothing but old wives' tales and stories to scare wee ones, we pretend that there was no god, no gods, and no aliens, but plain old Earthlings living and doing plain old Earthling stuff when it comes to storytelling. Now the question becomes just how did mythology get its mobility?
Industrious, that's what Earthlings are. I do not and would not put it pass the reasoning of necessity of understanding for the stories that would eventually stick in the collective psyche to be born. Saying and agreeing with that, we must go further. Either we are all connected and therefore pulled on the same key ingredients of necessity or one group was somehow more ingenious than all the rest of us and came up with motifs which would answer everyone's primitive and far reaching questions for understanding of this creation of matter called life. We know the answer; there is a collective truth which must be expressed for the creation to move forth, hence the mobility of mythology- then and now. It is my belief that new stories (new mythologies) are about to be born and with them a shift in experience and wisdom. But the effectiveness of these new stories will be gaged by how well the embedded information translate and how portable the desire to manifest will be. Mobility of mythology is a tricky thing. One must be able to speak to the Spirit of the listener and have enough self-confidence that she knows the seeds which she is dropping will bloom one day into wild adventures and deep longings. So what are some of the things today's mythologist can do? One, release all connections to the current mythologies. I mean not even in storytelling can one really effectively put new wine in old skins. Two, release the high speed life of society. It will take a lot of solitude and vulnerability to hear the future and we can only hear the future while living in the present by giving up the past. Three, release the mob or pack mentality. You cannot provide the vision for tomorrow by trying to be loved, looked up to, and embraced by the masses today. It may sound strange, depending on isolation and innovation to create mobile stories of motivation; but that is the only way we can receive clean stories without duplication. Individuality is the key to mobility. Individuality is the new (or improved) tool of today's mythologist. And remember, if you are immortal, you will get to see, maybe live, the stories you share, one day but not . . .anyway, hold on to the truth that mobility, even with the speed of the internet, is a slow moving, slow learning fix. Without the gods to assist. Thanks for Listening! Sabrina Louise Andielle Crow Crew

The idea that writing a story is simple and the author only need to take pauses here and there for fresh eyes is a fictitious telling in and of itself. The entire process is an emotional development of the author. Especially if one wish to develop the emotions of the readers. Unlike other writings which, for the most part, requires light effort for writers born with the gift of storytelling, mythological creations demand heavy bench pressing.
First, you have to decide on writing about something you know. Then have at it; which means opening up your soul and receiving a story about the topic which you've selected. As much as you may know about this topic, your first draft will be primeval soup. Some of it will have mass (meat to keep) and the rest will be liquid (soup to toss) but know that without the first draft there is nothing to eat; so, get your ears tune to the pitch of the Universe. Second, you have to see how your first draft can fit into the formula that has been agreed upon by the collective 'we' of readers. It doesn't matter that your delivered idea is original and has the philosophy to support it; what is key is that bread looks like bread that can be served on a plate and water looks like water that can be served in a cup. Third, you have to recompose your first draft into a final product. This part takes many tries and will change the texture and taste of your offering to the reading gods. But keep the first two steps close, constantly read and re-read your mythology until you know the story; now start rethinking what mythology means to you. Fourth, you have a final product which adhere to industry requirements at this point, so let's add in two things, the requirements of mythology and the requirements of compassion. Your writing is the food and/or the elixir for the community. Considering that you've experienced this journey that you're sharing, the sharing should come easy. It is your communal passion after all. Just as it feeds your soul, it should feed the collective soul. Your mythology should motivate or prompt others to get out and obtain what you gained. Finally, have faith that this new mythology will answer the pleas of the community. Then, be prepared to take that first step over and continue the process until you feel you can no longer stand and be a channel for the voice of Spirit, the voice of the Universe. Remember, mythologist spider, your job is to spin webs and change the flies caught on your web into independent spiders out there spinning webs with you. We are all one and that means that we are all spider-storytellers; capable of overcoming the largest of obstacles and calming the wildest of beasts. Thanks for Listening! Sabrina Louise Andielle Crow Crew As I'm writing the Mow Yen's series, I'm learning about the other Pillar Gods. I mean I would be cut off at the knees if I really believed that Yahweh is the only Pillar God or that there's no pantheon. Personally and professionally, I'm interested in seeing others' point of view about the reflection of the Great Mind who is Creator-Thinker-Host.
When I was starting the second decade of my spiritual adventure, I was asked what/who do I mean by God. At the time I hadn't been introduced to other religions or mythologies and I was doubting the truth of Jesus. I know, right. As a storyteller, I understood that stories were altered for the audience and the Jewish-yet-transformed-into-Christians and Gentiles were an audience just as religion is a Human Resource based institution. But, would someone alter Jesus' story? Yes. The story is neither original nor is everything that Yeshua is said have said. When this question was posed to me, I was torn but I answered with my heart anyway. I said, plain and simple, God is All That Is and All That isn't. My definition of God has evolved as I've been initiated, transformed, and elevated. Yet, my question of God hasn't. What about those who believed beyond the three foundational religions of the average citizen? This is the question which has crushed me, strengthen me, and redesigned me. It is the question that led me to the stories of others' religious beliefs and so-called 'myths.' I remember hearing a summary regarding mythology and religion: when all the Shaman of all the nations gathered and told their stories about where we come from, who we are, why we are here, and who is the Creator, everyone agreed theirs was just as wonderful a STORY as everyone else, except the Shaman of Yahweh/Allah/Jehovah; theirs was a wonderful TRUTH to live by or die in a place that isn't in the heart, although the location of the kingdom is. Living like the previous and traditional Shaman of Non-Aboriginal people will get your butt in a lot of trouble as you travel this adventure as a Comparative Mythologist. Keep this little piece of understanding tucked in your bra while you're traveling. Thanks for Listening! Sabrina Louise Andielle Since I started writing Metaphysical Fantasy over a decade ago, people have always asked me what is it. I mean if the glazed over eyes don't give a red flag then the tilt of the head does. So, I took the time to break down what the fantasy of metaphysics is.
Britannica Online Encyclopedia Defines Metaphysics as such: "Metaphysics, the philosophical study whose object is to determine the real nature of things- to determine the meaning, structure, and principles of whatever is insofar as it is. Although this study is popularly conceived as referring to anything excessively subtle and highly theoretical and although it has been subjected to many criticisms, it is presented by metaphysicians as the most fundamental and most comprehensive of inquires, inasmuch as it is concerned with reality as a whole." Now with that lengthy definition image the theories being presented in a novel, approachable way. Stories that deal with the Matrix we live in and how to navigate it. That's what I and others do. Hopefully, you'll find entertaining discourses from the emerging crop of metaphysicians going about there job description with a little fun, joy, and happiness Thanks for Listening! Sabrina Louise Andielle I listen to my meditative thoughts.
I'm in the process of getting ready to launch another attempt at being the new life myth maker, and metaphysical fantasy writer. One reason that I write is because I have the drive and desire to share what I find to be cool and amazing. And there are plenty of cool stuff when it comes to religion, the matrix, and even our plain old life here within the hologram.
For any serious cutting-edge writer, saying things that may cause others to question their beliefs and what you are sharing, is the reward in and of itself. It took me a long time to realize this. It's my job to get you to say, "what if?" or better "What The Hell?!" It is not my job to coddle educate everyone to my ways; save lazy readers and doers from or lead them from self-destruction. It is my job to entertain you while I take you on a journey. A journey that will instill bravery, curiosity, devotion even, and heaven forbid motivation. New myths are needed since we are learning this internal, Spiritual stuff at a speed which runs laps around our ancestors. It ain't just the technology folks. And like any generational teachings we need to build upon the myths which have sustained us. Especially the women. We must know the rules in order to break them. Once we know what the masculine has created we can then chose to reflect it back as healthy and whole or find and reflect a new, undiscovered, little s, source, because the big s, Source is always looking for ways to manifest and become creative in the hologram. Not that I'm leaving the men behind, they need to admit they are lions and leave the sheep along. It's safe. Knowledge is in fact the only sustainable power. So, when it seems as if your work cause ire in another remember to dust the sand from your sandals and got to the next person. Of course, you have to know what you're talking about, which will come with time; but other than that . . . myth making is one of the more joyous, playful, and delightful ways to contribute to society as a whole. Thanks for Listening! Sabrina Louise Andielle There is something about claiming your Psyche and losing you Personality. This is especially so for the writers of new stories. Stories that will one day motivate and instruct. We must allow ourselves moments of being captured by the Muses (if not the Angels of Creativity- Archangel Gabrielle I'm looking at you!) and allow them to take us to the river's reflective waters in order to see that we aren't sheep; but lions.
Writers today have no excuse for not pushing the limits and midwifing, if not birthing, a new day with a new story. Joseph Campbell and Carl Jung were two ground breakers who crushed the divider which kept the storytellers from writers, in addition to, giving both the understanding of what made the myths and folklore of Ancient and Olden as transformational as they were/are. Not only did these gentlemen break barriers, but like any constructive elder, they laid foundation for the next generation. Now, don't misunderstand, I don't agree with everything that those two wild and crazy guys did, but I do get their intentions. The intentions point of origins I understand. I don't make the mistake of taking what they said out of the context in which they said it. Their biggie statement that get me is the proclamation stating -in not so many words- that women didn't necessarily having to go on a dragon slaying journey when the real dragon was the Shadow Self. But according to them the causes and motivations for the journey, women already had within them. So, they asked, why would women risk hide and hair to do the same thing that men were doing? I understand their thinking but time has proven their final decisions in this manner to be as solid as Darwin's decision about evolution. Yet, we cannot deny that we can combine the ideal journey these two gentlemen saw, and build a new. I, personally, stand on their shoulders and show them that the elixir which the feminine energy returns with is just as needed by the community- if not more so. I use strong feminine characters who believe in a force larger than themselves, use a weapon just as well as they use their wit, and most importantly these female characters strive pass the need to unite with and imitate the masculine. I'm certain that I'm not the only female writing myths for the human community. If I am then I invite you. Come jump in the deep end of the pool. With each day, I understand more about mythology of yesterday so I can contribute to the new myth that has been growing since the 1990s. The great myths of tomorrow for tomorrow. Those myths which still goes about penetrating the labyrinth of the earthling psyche whether it be a spiritual being having an earthly experience or an earthly being having a spiritual experience. That is the myth that I work for and on. And, I'm loving every moment. As Campbell would say, I've found my Bliss. May you find a good story to keep you motivated. Thanks for Listening Sabrina Louise Andielle I know this isn't a secret, but I'm going to share for those of you swamped by the task of purchasing, let alone digesting, the many, many writers' books out there.
Here's what I do: I first check writers' books out at my Public Library here in Cleveland Ohio- which is part of the best public borrowing system ever, love it. I have my choice I can either go and hit up the well stocked main branch which is located downtown or I can go through the online catalog from the comfort of my home. Either way I come off like a fat rat in a cheese factory with no cats or traps. What I do, again, it's nothing new; I take my time and preview/review each book then I write a review and post my opinion on my blog. I'm careful to point out the excellent, juicy parts and skim over the rest. It must be a stinker for me to just flat out not like something. As an author who tries to stay on top of her game, I understands the blood, sweat, and tears that went into sharing some secrets. I'm discovering that there are a lot of fear-babies attempting to write for the public. I digress. When I write my reviews I share what I took away from the teachings of that author(s) plus if it's good and worthy then I go to the online thrift store for books and plop down my pennies and nickels for a copy. The current books I've added to my collection is Stealing Fire from the Gods and The Heroine's Journey. Both books are worth their cost; especially if you want to write something that is more original and groundbreaking. Now, I will admit that there are some books that I'm waiting for the price to drop. Just part of the publishing game and I know it, the publisher knows it, and hopefully the author knows it. But this system of renting then buying is helping me to streamline my personal Library and have a collection that I just love. What are you still doing here reading? Get to the library or the bookstore based off a book you checked out at the library and enter into a win/win situation with the author and yourself. Thanks for Listening Sabrina Louise Andielle As I continue my in depth study and creation of mythology, I'm learning that two men influence my thoughts about the subject more than anyone else: C. Jung and J. Campbell. My growing realization is that these men were more than the cult leaders that the religious powers of their day believed them both to be. Time has prove that their thoughts were not in line with the heathens' back water teaching- there really are Archetypes and we can make a living and save our souls by following our bliss. But, because books are crystallized thought there is no lack of information about Jung and his supposed anti-system political beliefs and practices and as far a Campbell is concern, he was nothing more than a pied piper leading others to their spiritual deaths.
Now, as time has passed and both men have been proven to have known what they were talking about, writers like me are pulling on their research. Personally, I too have faced off with accusation about my loyalty to Christ; and only I can know what is in my heart, my intentions. So, I keep on walking. As I continue my twisting road, I see that things are in divine order and that although I may be a little harsh to swallow now, I will be valued as I continue and steep in my own divine gift and power. There is a need for story, original story; and I'm not talking memoirs. They have their place and some of them are severely needed, but the hero's journey need to be adapted to an outcome of compassion and cooperation. The heroine's journey needs to include powers outside the home- the goals needs to transcend gaining a husband and rearing a healthy, happy family. These are things that I'm working on accomplishing with my myths. The gods and goddesses of yesterday are being reconsidered and no one is being labelled a pagan. At least not with the intention and power that it once held. Its declaration has also become sweat to the lips as the ancient symbolic wisdom is showing why it is ancient and wise and that not everyone needs to be initiated into its power and ability. If only we had more people like Kevin Hearne! A man after Campbell's heart. I just know it. Thanks for Listening! Sabrina Louise Andielle I know that I didn't post anything in June 2018, but I was having numerous Coming to Jesus Meetings. This alchemist process of writing myths and combining not only symbols but lessons is pushing me.
I'm currently going through my Chinese Monkey God story with a fine tooth comb. I decided to do a short story on Greece's Hecate. Plus I'm developing the outline of The Mow Yen Chronicles; which is finally coming together. Three projects, all myths. Plus, I want to begin tossing my hat in the article writing ring. My calendar year is from July to June and I had an amazing first year. I wrote a novel and published a short story. I discovered that I could do this; now I believe that 2017-2018 will be the reviewed year which takes me aback to the very thing I originally asked/prayed for. Now 2018-2019 I plan to carry my cross and take another step along my road of dharma. I believe that we each hold a special piece of the puzzle. The Universe's story is our story I've bee told, and its destiny is our destiny. This kind of opened my eyes and made me surrender to my role; that and the fact that this will be the last year before my son heads off to college to be a video game designer. Good or bad, I'm starting to see that I was looking at the business of myth with rose-colored glasses. This is something that has received push-back from patriarchal structures. The entire business of telling myths was once the territory of women but it too fell under the domain of men. Not only that, those who are of the traditional religious way seem to think that this is something that is Gnostic. Which in a way they are right- but I wouldn't tell them that. Then there is the fact that I'm having reserved feelings about Maureen Murdock's Heroine's Journey and trying to put my own twist upon it. Plus Campbell, a genius yes, writer of mythology? Creator of Mythology? No. Then there is my journey to become a University Professor of this stuff. Again, carrying my own cross. Like most Great Initiations I'm in this all alone and others may offer help along the way but it's up to me to get this big wooden beam up the hill. I got Jesus on my side as well as a few others, so I have faith in me ad my journey. Well, I've poured enough tears for a post after a month's absence. I promise I'll . . . you get it. Thanks for Listening Sabrina Louise Andielle |
